Tailored solutions to meet your needs

GGUC offers tailored Danish education to companies that want to help their foreign employees learn Danish. We have many years of experience with class teaching as well as individual tuition of foreign employees at all levels.

We will be pleased to help you establish your employees’ language proficiencies and design tailored solutions that match the needs of your company and employees.

Education under the Danish Education Act

Company classes (min. 8 participants):

One of the advantages of this solution is that it is partly funded by the municipality. Our teaching is related to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). CEFR has been developed by the Council of Europe in order to describe the learning of foreign languages all over Europe and establish clear guidelines for assessment of language proficiencies. Our teaching is flexible and can be organised in accordance with company preferences. Classes can take place at company premises or at one of our schools in Billund or Grindsted, and we will be pleased to tailor the contents of the lessons to specific company needs or job functions.

Individual employees:

If a company wishes to enhance the language proficiencies of individual employees, such employees can participate in existing classes at our schools in Billund or Grindsted. It is our experience that the individual employees are more likely to complete their language education programmes if the company wholly or partially takes over the user fees of DKK 2.000 per module.

Tailored solutions

If a company wishes to enhance the language proficiencies of its employees, but does not want to be bound by the requirements of the Danish Education Act, GGUC will be pleased to tailor solutions to specific company needs. As a self-governing institution, we are able to offer short- or long-term courses to match company needs and activities. This solution is extremely flexible as no time frames apply, which means that employees can concentrate on their jobs during busy periods without losing their right to learn Danish. We design courses that make it easy for you to get precisely what you want, and we will be pleased to tailor the contents of the lessons to specific company needs or job functions.

Individual tuition

If a company has a foreign employee who needs to learn Danish quickly and efficiently, a goal-oriented individual tuition programme may be the right solution. GGUC offers tuition at the employee’s workplace, at his or her home, or at our premises as well as online programmes whenever it suits the employee.

This solution is the right offer if:

– the employee has a very specific need – e.g. needs to learn the language related to a specific profession.

– the employee needs to learn Danish very quickly – progression is a lot faster than when participating in class teaching.

– the employee has a very variable and hectic life and is unable to attend ordinary classes.
